Progress Update 32 Weeks

Hello 230's it's been quite some time. Great week despite being sick and not going to the gym on Monday and Tuesday. Although I see I didn't have as big a fat% loss which may mean some of that is muscle loss. I guess I'm going to miss the post next week in Rochester for Thanksgiving. I guess I'll have another week where I do an extrapolation for the in between week. It also means that any damage I do in Rochester can be padded by doing well in the next several days before I go and in the few days after I'll have.

I bought some new clothes last weekend, but only a few, and mostly to figure out new sizes. I am totally an XL now in the shirt. I brought some old t-shirts and polos back from my parent's place that are XL and XXL so I'll have some better fitting clothes for leisure time. Oh, back to the new stuff. I got a new work shirt that is XL with a 17.5 inch neck which fits much better and represents about an inch off my neck size. I got a new belt at size 40 so I have more notches I can utilize. The last and most mind-blowing thing was that I got a new pair of jeans. 40W x 32L! I can shop in the non-big and tall again! Admittedly they are a bit tight in the thighs (but not the waist really) and the other pair I tried on of the same size did not work at all in the legs, but this pair was advertised as loose fit. The 42W pair I tried on with the non-loose fit was tight in the thighs but the waist was loose in a sense.

The above just confirms what I've always thought which is that I carry more weight in my thighs than the average person's fat/weight distribution. What's crazy to me is that I'm only about half-way to what I believe to be my goal weight, but I've lost like 8 inches in the waist, but I can't imagine that even at 185 my waist would go below 36 inches, which is only another 4 inches from where I am now. Add that to the list of oddities I guess. It's main companion right now is that I've lost like 13.6% fat, but I think at 185 I'll be around 10%, which means I am half-way weight wise but still have like 20% fat to go.

I am also making great headway in eating better across the week instead of mostly on Monday and Tuesdays, which I think is keeping progress moving. More importantly, it is a good sign toward being able to sustain this nutritional change on a permanent basis.

Hey Tristan, we just had the return of the long post. Let's see if I keep it up. I have to agree with you that the long posts will be much more interesting to read in 5 years (assuming that's why you like the long posts).

Week 32 Stats:
Weight: 239.0 lbs. (-2.6)
Fat: 30.8% (-0.4)
