Day 16 Progress Update

I had a thought this morning as I was getting ready. Crossfit will build strength and and improve general fitness, but it won't necessarily cause weight loss. In addition, being overweight makes Crossfit more difficult from a technical standpoint at times. In order to lose weight while doing Crossfit I need to concentrate more on altering my eating habits as I've usually done in the past on weight loss efforts. The bonus will be that by the time I can drop the weight I should have a good amount of muscle hiding behind the fat, which will be nice.


Day 16 Stats:
Weight: 291.4 lbs.
Fat: 43.3%
Water: 43.2%

  1. Here's approximately what I try to do:
    -avoid sugars and sweets
    -generally avoid bread, pasta, and other wheat-based foods
    -try to eat about a half pound of meat at each meal
    -eat nuts, oils, and other fats until not hungry
    -eat lots of veggies and fruits
