Well let's see there are so many updates I should have done, so let's see how inspired I feel to write shorter versions of what would be longer posts.
The iPhone 3G S is still great. It just brings more goodness to an already solid product.
I went to 4 more concerts. All Time Low with We The Kings, Cartel, and Days Difference. Days Difference was at the Plain White T's concert I took Jen to earlier in the summer. We also ran into some extended family members; Katherine and her mom Kim. Kim's husband is the president of my former company for those who don't know, so there's a little business and mostly pleasure running into them. Well Jen and Katherine decided they had major crushes on Day Difference, and they were coming back with All Time Low, so Jen and I picked up tickets. Katherine was going to and maybe did, but we never ran into her, but should have made an attempt at getting contact info before going out (sorry Katherine). All 4 bands that night were great.
Here's where we get a good story. About half-way through the All Time Low set, I decided to find the mosh pit. It was somewhat across the room, and I (probably unnecessarily so, but I was excited) rushed over towards it, wading through people. I knew I was inevitably bumping some people around, but I didn't think to any obscene degree. I get in there and within 30 seconds, I get a big hit from behind that sends me flying into the wall of people, I head back over and realize that the person still heading towards me must have knocked me the first time. We collide and separate by about 5 or 6 feet. He then proceeds to shout "stand down!", so I am starting to wonder if I ran over his girlfriend or his buddy on the way in. Before I can respond he shouts it again, "stand down!" This time I ask "what's the issue?" since this guy looks like he's all fired up. He responds "show your back!"..."what's the issue"..."stand down"...."what's the issue"....stand down"...what's the issue"..."show your back"...what's the issue"...."stand down"...."you're not explaining the issue". He then just stops and I cautiously turn to look towards the stage. I later decided that I think he was just trying to be pit alpha dog extreme, since he seemed to go after a few other dudes who looked in some way physically imposing, but for a minute there I thought this dude wanted to fight me. Pretty crazy stuff. That covers Plaint White T's, where we met Days Difference (and Kim and Katherine showed up), and All Time Low.
I also went to warped tour. It was great. Very tiring, but great. Less Than Jake didn't disappoint and had the best pit all day. But it was so fucking dry out that the dirt was all kicking up like dust, and got all in my nose and mouth. I looked like my teeth were rotting when I got out until I rinsed it out. Then I blew my nose, and it was basically mucus mud that came out. It was pretty rad, but strange. Last concert was with some other friends and Christine (more on Christine later). That show was No Doubt and Paramore. I got floor tickets for us, and it was amazing. No Doubt has been phenomenal both times I've seen them. Gwen Stefani is such a great performer and has amazing charisma. Also, I looked up on wikipedia that she is turning 40 this October, but guess what? She has a six-pack. I saw it in person that night. Absolutely incredible for someone her age. Paramore we missed a lot of due to bullcrap traffic, and a terribly inefficient will call setup.
I'll move onto Christine now. I'm back in the game folks. We've been dating just about a month and a half. I met her online (don't judge me, I have little to no interest in most girls that hit the bars every night, so what's a fella to do?). She has amazing blue eyes, a killer smile, and even likes to play video games. That description was generic and lame, but I am super happy!
I finally got my work laptop about 2 weeks ago. So I finally get to feel like I'm getting setup and comfortable with a long term machine. Work is still going well. Our survey stuff isn't always super exciting, but there should be some opportunities coming up by the end of the year to dip my toes into a cooler project.
I'm being a fickle child about figuring out where, and if to move. Currently I'm half-way through a 2-week test to see if using the Dulles Greenway (brings daily toll cost from $1.50 to $9.50, big jump) can make my traffic woes disappear. Early evidence suggests yes. The travel time is more on par with my old commute (maybe a little shorter), and the total traffic hit ends up being similar as well. Basically the extra cost would be about $200/month which would be a hell of a lot cheaper than moving to my own place closer to Tyson's (which double hits me since rent is higher, and I wouldn't be splitting it with Robin anymore). So indications are that I'll be staying in Leesburg a while longer.
Robin and I picked up Wii Sports Resort today, which uses the new Wii Motion Plus accessory, and it's got some fun games in it. The archery is pretty neat (and can be challenging), the cycling is surprisingly fun, the canoeing is tiring, but good when teaming up. I also enjoyed the basketball offering. The sword fighting was a big let-down. While it tracks the movement great, the collision detection is basically shit, which means that flailing will land hits, and blocking isn't directional (it just always works). Hopefully someone will take some time and make a sword fighting game that has good collision detection.
My longtime family friend Amee got married this past Friday. I got to see her cousins that I haven't seen in a while. Our "trouble table" as it was called + open bar = a blast of an evening.
I don't know how many posts I just combined, but it was several, hence "Several For 1"

Yup, Gwen Stefani is totally hot and ripped, I saw it myself too. Can't believe she's a mother of two! She's so hot. I remember she was wearing her white pants so low at those concerts...
