Robin and I got our paintball gear. Neither of us spent a lot, but I think we both got pretty good values. Robin picked up a used Tippmann 98 Custom, which is known for being durable and reliable, and there exists a huge set of after-market parts to customize it. He also bought a special new barrel for it to give it more distance, as well as a less expensive other alternative barrel that is known for accuracy.
My setup is a Smart Parts Vibe running on CO2. It's a really basic setup, but due to the way the Vibe is made I can run CO2 without worrying about freezing the electronics.
We've now played twice with our gear, and it's working just fine. We're having a nice time with it and it's great exercise, running around the woods.
