Paintball

Saturday April 18th Robin and I went paintballing at a local place near us in Leesburg. It was pretty fun, and confirmed for us that we would like to take it up as a hobby.

So now we're both trying to decide what guns to get and what to do about the rest of the gear. You'd be surprised how many choices there are. Robin is trying to track down a used Tippmann 98 Custom on craigslist which is known for being a reliable and durable semi-auto mechanical marker with a reasonable price tag. You will often find it being the rentals at paintball fields (it was where we went).

I'm looking into the electric markers that give the option of setting them to burst and fully automatic modes. I like the idea of having the choice later on. I've been strongly considering the Smart Parts Ion since it seems to be hailed as a really great entry into higher end markers, since it has many high end features, but with a reasonable price tag.
