I'm Beat

The past two weekends were back-to-back trips and my travels in the last year or so have finally caught up with me. I'm beat. All of this travel to help maintain closeness with my friends and family has drained me.

I love you all, but I am so incredibly excited to stay home and chill this coming weekend.

Fun fact: I took delivery of my car on February 18th 2008, it now has over 30,000 miles on it.

While I certainly have not been in a situation with a short commute during the past 14 months, that doesn't add up to 30,000 miles.

I honestly don't even mind taking the time or the miles, I'm happy to do it. I just had this really crappy feeling on the way home from my Easter festivities. I felt drained on a drive home for the second weekend in a row, and felt like I could spend every weekend going all over the place and it would still feel like I never got to see anybody.

The futility of that moment was saddening. I know everybody knows I do what I can to keep track of everyone, so it's all good, but it was just a little sad, and it's time for another post, so there it is.
